Giff Nielsen: November 2008 ArchivesThe timing was perfect for the Texans to pick up a solid running back. Green Bays Ahman Green was available a couple of years ago and with his relationship with assistant coach Mike Sherman, who was the Packers head coach, the Texans went out and gave him 23 million dollars in a four year deal. It was a move the local organization thought would provide stability in one of the most important positions in the game but it turned out to be a BIG BUST as Green was placed on the season ending injured reserve today and may never play another game with the Texans organization. ...

Was it going to be Obama or McCain? Who was going to be the new leader of the free world? As it turned out, it is no longer Senator Obama, it is now President Obama. He has now reached the pinnacle of the political process. Well the top spot in the NBA is still "all green." While votes were being counted, many basketball fans were wondering if the retooled Rockets had enough talent and heart to overcome the champion Boston Celtics at Toyota Center. Yes, they played on election night. ... |
