It's time to shut up and play for the Rockets and Jazz!

So here we go! Will this be the final game for the Rockets this season or will they live to play again? Toyota Center will be rockin' tonight for game five. You can bet the local pro basketball fans will be wired doing everything they can to spur on Rick Adelman's team. For the Rockets, it's win or go home, it's that simple!

There is no question the play has been physical and intense. It always is when these two teams matchup. The players know it, the fans know it and the officials know it which leads me to what it's like covering the event. We in the media get tired of asking the players and coaches questions. We feel so refreshed when there is something new but I haven't liked some of the things I've been hearing.

I'm a T-Mac fan. I appreciate his talents and appreciate how graceful he is playing a game I know alot about. Having played college basketball along with football, I see the little things that happen on the court that most casual fans miss. I get involved with the way teams cover the pick and roll or execute that offense. I love to see the ball move around and I really appreciate helping team defense. I also know what it's like to box out on the boards. I was taught when the ball goes up, you go find someone and as I was coached, to "put him on your hip." But the most important thing I learned was how valuable the team is and never to put myself, in anyway, above the other players and coaches I went to war with.

The Rockets could have won game four in Utah and they didn't play their best basketball. It came down to getting a rebound on a missed foul shot with seven seconds remaining in the game and Rockets down by two. I couldn't believe it when Mehmet Okur somehow grabbed the ball after Deron Williams clanked it. Tracy McGrady and Carl Landry allowed the mishap and that was it, that is until the post game newsconference. T-Mac questioned publicly why Adelman didn't have Dikembe Mutombo in the game to make sure they got the rebound. Adleman responded saying basically he didn't need Tracy telling him how to coach.

I hated to hear all of that. Those are the kinds of comments that need to be kept in house and not out in the public. So for the last few days, that's what we have been focusing on. Losing does that. Any little incident involving bickering teammates or coaches gets played and played hard. Well, all that doesn't matter anymore. It's game five in Houston. Time to let the play do all the talking!
