« Reality bites...Rockets try to stop Jazz |

Things happened pretty much the way I thought it would in game two of the Rockets-Jazz playoff series. Utah just kept coming with fresh bodies the entire game and you knew it would wear down the depleted Rockets. As I watched some of those wayward Rockets shots and their execution at the end of the contest, it was clear the Jazz' game plan was run to perfection. Tracy Mcgrady is on his way to his 7th first round playoff exit in his career and I really feel bad for the guy right now because he doesn't have chance in this match up. He's always been one to sit before the media after a game and face the music whether or not they were playing his song. For the most part, he has been so successful but his OH-fer in the postseason is tough to live with. He looked tired and dejected last night after the game. He had played for over 43 minutes and was hammered by Andrei Kirilenko and Matt Harpring every minute he was on the court. That was not all. Those two guys had help as the Jazz knew if they stopped McGrady, the Rockets couldn't turn anywhere else to get points. Oh how they needed Rafer Alston! There are many of you out there trashing T-Mac because of his lack of success in the playoffs and I say, you don't understand the game. Basketball is not about just one guy and never has been. As great as Michael Jordan was, he always had a terrific supporting cast and that goes for Koby Bryant, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and on and on and on. This would be a different deal with Yao and Rafer healthy. Tracy was phenominal last night. He was one assist away from a triple double and left the building getting hammered again for not winning along with not be productive in the fourth quarter. He is used to carrying the load on and off the court but you can only do so much. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

Thanks Giff for making that point. The game would not be made up as a team if one man carries the load. It would be called tennis not basketball. You fans are much to blame as the players. This is Houston's team - not Houston's T-Mac. Where's the spirit?
