I attended Lakewood Church for about 3 years. This was when Pastor John Osteen was the Pastor. I must say that what I know about the Bible I did learn while attending Lakewood. I found it at the time to be a very Bible teaching church. I sat up front (I would say around 5 or 6 isles from the first rows) which were always reserved for the Osteen family and Osteen friends visiting that week. I was allowed to sit in the front section because I rode to church with one of the Lakewood volunteers who sat up front. I can't say that I knew Victoria at all while I was attending Lakewood. I reached my hand out to shake her hand one Sunday morning as she was taking her seat up front, however she proceeded to continue walking to her seat and ignored me. Now, in no way am I concluding that this action makes her a Diva, but I can say that my feelings were hurt by her actions that particular Sunday. As I said, I attended the church for 3 years and she never spoke to me at all. She and I are approximately the same age and I always thought she was so attractive that I guess I looked at her with awe. I never felt it as a jealous reflection as I certainly did not dislike her because of her looks. What I suppose I'm getting at, is I could picture what Ms. Brown is accusing Victora Osteen of doing as actually happening. Victoria Osteen was by far the most stand offish of all the Osteen family. That could be just her way, but I found it personally hurtful and certainly not very Christian like. The reason I stopped going to Lakewood is I became disappointed in the change of "the message" being preached by Pastor John. In my opinion it began to be more about money than preaching the word. I certainly believe in tithing and did give my 10% as I felt led to do by the Lord. But when the sermons began to be about giving "over and above" and 7 years of Harvest and on and on regarding money I became disappointed in the way I felt the church was going. However, it seems the sermons turned out very well for Lakewood as a whole. My prayers are with both parties in this unfortunate trial. I would not want to be on that jury panel.

Jaime - you believe the flight attendant got hemmorhoids?? Can you honestly say that? Think about it.

Bessi said:

It in NOT about the hemmoroids!!!!! It is about being shoved, which is humiliating in itself, and then further humiliated by being effectively called a liar by Osteen's public denial. Not everyone can take abuse. Brown's spirit is evidently fragile such that she can't get past it. If it takes therapy for her to do so, then she is entitled in this country to ask a jury for her medical costs. (Don't start on the 10%, which is probably her attorneys doing to get attention, and is just a tithing)

This actually makes Osteen much more at fault - it was her responsibiltiy as a 'pastor' to heal that situation. If Brown said "you are waving you glasses in my face" then it was Osteen's responsibility as a human to accept that that is Browns perception - and say 'excuse me, I did not mean for you to feel that way', not "my glasses are not in your face'! Same with the hollering and the shoving. (But I guess that just makes her a really crappy pastor)

Well I have to say that Victoria shook my hand and was very cordial when approached. Maybe she just had a bad day IF it happened. But without a doubt I would never believe that Victoria would put her hands on Sharon Brown! When did you ever see an african american woman get assaulted and not fight back. There, case closed. Sharon Brown has a very nasty attitude and a greedy heart. She, her goofy lawyer and Maria Johnson should be obligated to pay all court costs. Just wondering if the public knows that Sharon Brown did this same thing 13 years ago? BIG RED FLAG!

I am also disgusted with this whole affair, however who or what gives you the right to call someone a liar as you did in your statement as far as VO shaking or not shaking my extended hand to her that Sunday? YOU seem a little bias here. As I said my prayers are with both parties because there are definately no winners here, whether the Osteens lose, Brown loses and/or the taxpayers lose either way.

It kills me that Victoria will put a T at the end of the wordacros.

Only in america.
