Here is an overview of the items that are currently growing in our garden. We have lots of other things like.. garlic, onions, shallots, green onions. But here are just a few pictures. I have been determined to NOT use Miracle Grow this year! I have used coffee and tea grounds, earthworm castings and many other "organic" fertilizers. We can really tell the difference in the growth rate of the produce, but it is worth the extra time and care.

During Memorial Day weekend, Texas shoppers get a break from state and local sales and use taxes on purchases of certain energy efficient products.
The 2009 Energy Star sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day).

Well, I have, and this is ONE I am glad I did not miss!
At an outlet mall, I walked into a great sale! Yep, I had no idea it was going on and literally walked into it! They give you a bag and you fill it up to the rim in the area provided. The cost of everything in your bag is a flat rate of $20! Wow! I was amazed!

Organizing your coupons
Now that so many of us have been saving the Sunday Chronicle Coupon inserts. What do we do with them? We need to be able to find the coupons that we need. I have compiled a few different ways to organize your coupons. I want to give several ways, so that you can choose what works best for you.
Expandable file folder: This is a great way to just drop the whole Sunday insert into the file and keep for a later date. I file these by the Sunday date they were delivered. This method is used for storing the coupons until it is time to cut and use.

What do you do with your expired coupons?
Here is a suggestion.........
Help Military families stationed overseas.
They can use expired coupons up to and including 6 months old.
