Suspects injured during alleged carjacking attempt
A car wash robbery turned violent for two carjacking suspects after they forced the victim into the trunk of his own vehicle overnight in the 400 block of Calhoun in Richmond.
McRon Thompson pulled his pistol and opened fire when the teenagers opened the trunk door.
Joshua Payne, 18, was shot in the back and a 15-year-old was hit in the shoulder.
Both were taken to the hospital and now face aggravated robbery charges.
