Perry's office says he'll sign school finance legislation

Governor Perry's office said the governor will sign the new school finance legislation passed by the house and senate.

The legislation includes sweeping tax reform that will lower property taxes by 17 percent this year and 33 percent next year.

It makes up for the difference by tapping into the surplus and by increasing the tax on businesses and cigarettes.
