Judge denies temporary restraining order against FEMA
A federal judge in Houston has denied a temporary restraining order that would allow Katrina evacuees to continue receiving housing assistance.
The class action suit was filed on Friday by six evacuees asking the court to force FEMA to continue the voucher program nationwide at least another month, through June 30th.
FEMA says an estimated 17,000 households nationwide are now ineligible for assistance.
