HISD students beat national Stanford test average
HISD students have something to brag about.
On Wednesday, Superintendent Dr. Abe Saavedra is set to announce the results of this year's Stanford test and its Spanish-language equivalent.
Results show HISD students beat the national average even though more Houston children live in poverty.
The test measures the academic achievement of Houston students against the nation.
More than 144,000 HISD students took the test this year.
