Education secretary coming home for a visit
Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings is coming home Thursday.
The native Houstonian is in town, stopping off at a charter school, serving Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
Spellings will tour KIPP New Orleans West College Prep School and talk to students at an assembly.
This afternoon she will visit her alma mater, the University of Houston, to receive an honorary doctorate degree.
