Area letter carriers to deliver food donations
The postal service is helping to fill the stomachs of thousands of Houstonians.
Area letter carriers will deliver donations to the Houston area food bank Monday.
Nearly 4,300 people joined in the nationwide food drive.
People put food donations next to their mailboxes Saturday.
Last year the Houston district collected more than 314,000 pounds of food.
The results of this year’s drive will be announced later Monday.
