HPD admit mistake, teen wrongly arrested for shooting
Houston police said they made a mistake.
They said a Madison High School honors student arrested for a drive-by shooting was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Last month 17-year-old Kenneth Marshall was driving back from Wal-Mart when police pulled him over and took him into custody.
They were looking for a suspect in a black car and Marshall fit the description.
HPD admitted they arrested the wrong person.
Marshall is considering academic scholarship offers from Rice, UT and UH.
