Amazing Race: Weavers roll over and survive

What a letdown.

The other teams were ready. I was ready. Even the Weavers were ready to say goodbye and ride off into the sunset in Episode 9 as the most disliked team in the Race.

But then host Phil Keoghan spoke the words any last-place team would kill to hear, "this is a non-elimination round." But the Weavers, clearly worn out from complaining and their second yield of the contest, we're ready to pack it in.

It was a rough round for the pride of Florida. Rolly identified the first sign of trouble -- Rebecca's driving -- and said, "We're going 51 [mph], that's how they are beating us."

Then Momma Weaver opted for scenic Highway 92, which must have been Lewis and Clark's original route. And finally the Linz family drove the final stake home with a yield at the Salt Lake Olympic park.

But it wasn't enough to kill this family. They've been mocked, yielded, targeted and taunted, but the Weavers will not go quietly. So cover your ears, we have at least one more week to hear "The Weaver's Greatest Whines."

TAR QUICK HITS -- Episode 9
Best Quote: "The people who win will probably spend it on a new nose and fake boobs." -- Rebecca Weaver

Wisdom from Walter: Walter Bransen teased us with signs of life saying, "We're gonna try and be more aggressive." But it's hard for Walter and leopards to change their spots. He later confessed on the road trip to Moab, Utah, "I could go for something tranquil and boring."

That's Family: "If we lose a teammate, it's gonna be him," said Nick Linz as his brother repelled down a Utah rock face. And if it happens, "we'll turnaround and do the bikes."

First place: Linz family (Prize: Trip for four to Jackson Hole, Wyo.)

Last place: Weaver Family (Non-elimination)

Why do you give the Weaver family such a hard time.
They are actually the only one who can do the job right.
They can compete while still maintaining to be nice and respectful people.

The Weaver family keeps on bragging how "Christian" they are but the truth of the matter is that they are some of the most non-Christian people I have seen. Their whinning and complaining shows how class-less they really are in this race. A true Christian family could see how beautiful God's creation is and not criticize the entire state of Utah, the work of the Paulo father, and the physical characteristics of the other teams. Weaver family go back and reread the Bible so that you can really learn what a Christian is all about.
