Earlier this year , the 49ers playoff chances were as dead
as O.J.'s book deal. But now instead of a "gold rush" , San Francisco
has a "Gore Rush" and he's making the difference in the rush
to the post season.
At 5'9 and 212 pounds ,if you compared Gore to an automobile,
he would be part Camry and part Hummer 3.
The Camry is Motor Trends car of the year. Gore has some
M.V.P. moves , but he also has the power of the small Hummer .

If you are on the bubble when it comes to securing a playoff spot
don't be afraid to make the big trade.
If U.S. Air and Delta can deal, so can you and your fellow owners.
If George Clooney can be people magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for
the second time, then some top notch players who's stock went down
can move up again.

At times over the last four years , Chester Taylor was buried so deep
on the Baltimore bench it would have taken a C.S.I. investigation to find him.
But this season, Chester is starting over in Minnesota and he's
making the most of his opportunity.
In 8 games he's carried the load for the Vikings rushing for
708 yards, and 2 touchdowns, and has a great matchup this week vs the Packers .

Last week , Rams quarterback Mark Bulger was in a hole
deeper than the one Massachusetts Senator John Kerry
dug for himself.
Only with Bulger there was nothing to misinterpret.
Trailing the Chargers he went down fighting to
the tune of 327 yards passing along with 2 touchdowns.
