Week 5 Picks

Lets start with a reminder to all owners. No matter how small your league is you must always check the injury list. The status for players can check late in the week. Last week Carson Palmer was downgraded late in the week and did not play. The following are some players who should be studs in week 5. Including some that might still be
available.

Quarterbacks
------------------------
1) Jake Delhomme Panthers (K.C. @ Carolina)
It appears Jake Delhomme is starting to regain his old form. The Panthers signal caller completed 20 of 29 passes for 294 yards, and 2 touchdowns vs the Falcons.

2) Kurt Warner Cardinals (Buffalo @ Arizona)
Warner is looking more and more like a good stat man every week. One reason why is the Cardinals defense is so bad Warner and the offense is always playing from behind. Last week vs the Jets Brett Farve stole the headlines tossing 3 touchdowns, but Warner passed for 472 yards. Buffalo has a tough defense, but even if Anquan Boldin is out Warner should flourish.

Running Back
-------------------------
1) Deuce McAllister Saints (Minnesota @ N.O.)
Deuce was on the loose last week against the 49ers. In his first real action of the year he carried 20 times for 73 yards and a touchdown. He's been recovering from ACL surgery and looked pretty good vs the Niners. He should give the Saints the punch inside they so desperately need.

2) Correll Buckhalter Eagles (Washington @ Philadelphia)
If Brian Westbrook is still out with his bad ankle, Buckhalter should be your man. He's been productive replacing Westbrook and could be available in a lot leagues.

3) Larry Johnson Chiefs (K.C. @ Carolina)
Its time to let Larry play every week. He's looking more and more like the old L.J. and that's great news for Kansas City. Last week he rolled over the Broncos for 198 yards on 28 carries, while scoring 2 touchdowns.

Wide Outs
--------------------
1) Muhsin Muhammad Panthers (K.C. @ Carolina)
The Moose is back in Carolina. Muhammad and Jake Delhomme are reunited and right now it feels so good. Last week Muhsin burned the Falcons, catching 8 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. He could have a stellar game again this week vs the Chiefs.

2) Steve Breaston Cardinals (Buffalo @ Arizona)
This guy should be available in your league and he could be a real impact player if Anquan Boldin is out. Boldin suffered a head injury last week. Actually, they are calling it a fractured sinus membrane so the chances are he won't play. Even with Boldin playing most of the game, Breaston still managed 9 catches for 122 yards. As an added bonus, he also returns kicks.

3) Lance Moore Saints (Minnesota @ New Orleans)
The Saints throw the ball so much all their receivers have the opportunity to contribute. Last week Lance Moore turned in a career high 7 catches for 101 yards and 2 touchdown. Second year man Robert Meachem made 2 catches for 99 yards. Both guys are probably available in most leagues.
