I have located the name of the vet treating Nelly, the Lab dragged in Mineola (original post here). According to the Handipets Haven forum it is:
Clifton Bradshaw, DVM.
1124 W FM 564, Mineola,TX 75773
ph: 903-569-5418
You can read the rest of the forum's post here.. but BE AWARE.. GRAPHIC PICTURES of Nelly's injuries! I have also seen on this website that the Van Zandt County
Sheriff's Office is questioning two suspects.. One has allegedly admitted involvement but says it was an accident.

If you knew one of the boys who "drug the dog" you would know that he doesn't have the heart to drag a dog. His dog's were his whole life. He wouldnt do something like that to a dog, EVER. And a dog can be drug on accident, that was what happened the day those two "little typical redneck jerks" went driving and THE DOG JUMPED OUT!! Out of all the murders & other bad stuff I always hear about on the news, everyone's focused on a dog jumping out of a truck. Unless you know the whole story, you wouldn't be talking bad about one of the boys, & it just proves that these small towns do nothing but gossip & try to ruin INNOCENT people's lives. The reason this story got so big in the first place is so that 2 or 3 people could get their 15 minutes of fame for caring so much, and adopting the dog that was the victim of two evil boys. So get the story straight && stop talking about people, Lord knows everyone out their needs to worry about themselves a little more.

Well, now that we know the dragging was JUST an accident that happened to mutilate this little one and they were going to come back and get her after an hour or two as she lay bleeding--(I mean who would want to get their truck dirty anyway?)does this mean that poor little one will be handed back to that family that "LOVES" her so much? HOW CAN WE STOP THAT AND LET HER GET ADOPTED BY THE FAMILY THAT CARED ENOUGH TO GET HER TO THE VET?

I agree with Sheila's post, "How do you drag a dog on accident."? It's kinda like the man who drug his horse behind his truck last year while he was "only" trying to "exercise the horse to calm it down for the kids to ride". He didn't know the horse was down. How do you not know a 12oo lb. animal is dragging behind you?!!! How do people do that to ANY of God's creatures? I have written the Sheriff so they know this story is being followed. They need to bring these people to justice for Nelly! And now another lab has been drug behind a truck in DeSoto! Law enforcement needs to know that people won't tolerate these horrid things happening and they want the criminals brought to justice! If people start giving a voice to these helpless animals, maybe laws will strengthen and these things will stop! God bless those who are helping Nelly, Lucy the Lab in Desoto and all the other precious angels who need help!

I didn't go to look at the pictures, the graphic words describing this was bad enough that I started to cry. I'm so sorry for Nellie. I read that two teenager's did it on an accident, but they just threw her in the ditch to die. They should be punished! I don't know if the article I read was true, but I was reading from a good source on the Internet. It was so upsetting I cried to read what happened to this dog.

They for sure knew what they were doing!!!
Just a couple of good old BOYS out to empress each other, typical redneck jerks.

Take the "graphic" warning seriously folks - this one is really bad. I hope they catch the individuals who did this - they are sick and need professional help. They also need to be locked up before they hurt another innocent animal or human!
The cruelty demonstrated here is beyond my imagination. I'm so sorry for the pain and fear this poor animal felt. I hope her adoptive family showers her with the gentle love and attention she deserves.

What can I possibly say? This has to be one of the most disturbing stories (and pictures) I have ever seen.
Does anyone have information (or interest) on how we can get the laws strengthened to punish the types of individuals who do these things?
God bless the family who stopped these boys from dragging this beautiful creature.
