The 2 boys were investigated, but no arrest was made in reference to the dragging of Nellie. The driver of the truck, Mark Cann, was arrested for another crime. He randomly shot people's homes and property not long after the dragging incident.(noone was injured, but several were at home at the time of the shootings)

The Grand Jury will meet again on December 21, 2006. If this particular case is on the Docket, information will be provided the day after they meet.

You can locate quite a bit of information at the following website.

Reading these articles make me sick. I read an updated that they are questioning two 17 year olds about this case and the Sheriff of that county had an influx of emails. I personally sent one to him as well.

I think we need to contact that and surrounding area leaders and officials to pressure an investigation

There was also a black lab in Dallas that was dragged behind a truck by a woman in her 40s, get this, with her 7 year old son in the truck. When she was urged to pull over, she tossed the dog in the back of the truck, only to throw him in a ditch further down the road. The woman who got her to stop, followed her and found the dog and took it to the vet's office. What in the world is wrong with people? I am just astounded to think of what kind of person that woman is to raise her son to think that is OKAY :( by having him in the truck and witness her act of cruelty and hatred. Obviously, she has no soul. To see the story, you can go to www.readlarrypowell.com

I don't understand how anyone could do something like this. I hope whoever did this will go to jail for a very long time. I personally believe they should be dragged behind a truck just the same as they did with the dog. An eye for an eye!! Please keep us updated on this beautiful dogs progress.

What has been done to this poor pup should be done to these people and then they need to be put in jail but left untreated. I wish I was on that jury!

Please keep following the Mineola case and let us know if that sorry individual is ever caught and punished.
I would also like to follow Nelly's progress and know when she finds a Forever Home.
Best Wishes from Charley-Boy's mom!

There is not enough kind words for that lab, But what I really want to know, is the big brave redneck
men in jail without a possible chance for bail, if no, WHY NOT.
