Charles Dickens once said, "What greater gift than the love of a cat?" We couldn't agree more! Barc is currently overflowing with cats and kittens so if you need a little love in your life come down to Carr street and adopt a friend for life.

Saturday is another wags to whiskers adoption day so you can adopt at half the regular adoption fee, which also means you can adopt two for the regular price of one and get two times the love! All our cats come spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. What are you waiting for? The cats need you!

Today's featured feline is MS KITTY. "Would you believe when I first came to BARC they called me 'Strange'? No, not like I'm weird... Somebody actually named me Strange. So even though MS KITTY isn't very original it's a vast improvement over Strange. Please feel free to change it when you adopt me." MS KITTY looks pretty laid back but she can be quite mischievous. She's been known to climb up a pants leg to get attention and act very silly. MS KITTY is a small 1 year old tabby that will give you the best of both worlds: Fun and playful as well as quiet and mellow. She also gets along well with other kitties and has already been spayed so she's ready to go. Look for MS KITTY at BARC in the open adoption room in the North Building, I.D. A0996307.

And going to the dogs...please allow us to introduce you to BOB! BOB is a handsome dude but he's one of the dogs that has been at BARC the longest. BOB wonders why. He's a nice guy, good-looking, heartworm negative... He has a cute spotted nose and spotted toes, and a little white tip on his tail. BOB likes to run and play and do all the regular dog stuff. Sometimes people don't notice the black dogs like they do the others. Could that be why he hasn't been adopted yet? Could it be because BOB is just a nice guy and you know what they say about nice guys... Don't let BOB finish last. Come to BARC and check him out. BOB is about 2 years old, approximately 50 pounds, neutered and microchipped. Look for BOB at BARC in South A Ward, ID A0998646.

HAPPY TAILS

Although it was a slow week for our BARC Starz, two of our kitties managed to make it to freedom. DAISY the pretty calico found a great adopter at BARC, and GIRLFRIEND the tabby with the golden eyes went to a rescue group. Huge thanks, as always, to BARC's dedicated cat fosters and rescuers!

The Humane Society of Montgomery County will be closing its doors for good. The last day they will be open is Saturday Sept. 19th. They have about 50 cats/kittens that still need to be adopted. They are waiving all application fees, and just giving the cats/kittens out to a good home.
If you know of anyone looking for a cat/kitten or that can take a few cats/kittens in and try to find them a home please go see them.
The cats/kittens that do not get adopted by the end of Saturday will be euthanized. We are trying to get this out to our clients in hopes that you guys can save some of these cats/kittens.

There information is as follows:

Humane Society of Montgomery County
407 Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd. S
Conroe, TX 77304
Phone: 936-441-4762
Hours: Mon-Sat 8:00am-5:00pm
!!!No Adoption Fee!!!

If you can help or know someone that can please give them this information.
