Last Sunday the WAGS TO WHISKERS ADOPTION EVENT set a record for single-day adoption at BARC! 54 adoptions, plus 6 animals were fostered and 1 went to a rescue group. We thank everyone who came out and adopted a pet, but special thanks to KHOU-TV, CHANNEL 11 who kindly promoted the event and featured our adorable adoptables on the news! There is another WAGS TO WHISKERS EVENT THIS SATURDAY so come out and help us beat last Sunday's record!

That's FARGO featured with this story! PARTY ON, DUDE! It looks like FARGO is pretty happy about the success of Wags to Whiskers too, but then he's always looking for a reason to party. This handsome 4 year old American Bulldog mix is lots of fun. He loves to play, play, play, and he's known around the kennels as a real goofball. He's not too macho to show his sweet side, though, and deep-down he wishes he was one of those lucky dogs that got a Forever Home last week. Look for FARGO at BARC in South D Ward, I.D. A0995689.

And introducing...LARK - THE SPY WHO BEFRIENDED ME. This tiny kitty was always on top of me -- literally! I think her job was to keep me distracted so I wouldn't notice what the others were doing. If she wasn't in my lap she was perched on my shoulder, purring and nestling her face into my neck. Let me tell you, that was quite distracting, especially from one as charming as this. Her paperwork says she's 8 months old but I'm not sure if I believe that. Lookout for LARK at BARC in the open adoption room in the North Building, I.D. A0999376.
