This spectacular event will take place inside the Adoptions Lobby of the Houston SPCA, 900 Portway Drive in Houston, where all of their healthy and behaviorally sound adoptable bunnies and small mammals will be found "hopping" around in search of their forever home. Currently, the Houston SPCA is housing an abundance of bunnies that have been rescued from cruel situations or have been surrendered by their previous owners who are no longer able to care for them.

The Houston SPCA welcomes your altered, healthy bunny or small mammal to come along so they may find a new playmate or just hang out and explore our bunny mazes. "People often think of rabbits as a caged pet. In reality, they have unique personalities like a cat or dog and make fantastic family companions. They will actively seek attention, can be litter box trained, and provide an abundance of affection and fun. They are quiet animals but can be destructive in the home if not closely watched. If properly fed and cared for, they face few medical problems compared to dogs and cats and can live 10+ years. All of our rabbits are spayed and neutered prior to adoption which helps improve certain behaviors and overall health," says Dr. Teri Schweiss Vice President of Animal Welfare at the Houston SPCA.

The first 10 adopters will go home with a goodie bag full of surprises for their new furry companion to enjoy. There will be bunny education services, free nail trims, amazing prizes, and snacks for your island bunny. Plus by popular demand, the shelter bunnies will graciously take pictures with you for a small donation which will go back to help all of the animals at the Houston SPCA.
