All of the animals have recently received their medical evaluations from our team of veterinarians and are now ready to be put up for adoption. On this special day only, the appointment stipulation has been waived to provide approved adopters with a spotlight view of each and every farm animal seeking a new family.

Anyone interested in adopting a farm animal must be an approved adopter prior to attending this premier event. Although you can be approved on site, the process will flow much smoother when serious candidates follow these few simple guidelines:

- Download and fill out the farm animal application form and fax it to 713.861.3020 at least two days prior to the event for pre-approval.

- Bring identification such as a driver's license with your current address on the day of the event.

- Animals will be ready to go home on this day, or you may make arrangements to pick them up within 48 hours after adoption in an approved trailer as specified by the Houston SPCA.

All of the horses up for adoption will be gelded, vaccinated, and have current coggins test and wormings. In addition, they will be labeled novice, intermediate, and advanced to coincide with the amount of training needed in order for them to be ridden by their new owners. The Houston SPCA volunteers and staff will be on hand to provide potential adopters with detailed information such as age, description, personality, and knowledge of each and every farm animal on the grounds. The hope is that every farm animal including the miniature & large horses, ducks, geese, goats, sheep and a pot belly pig "LuLu" will all find a place to call their forever home on this day!
