An anonymous tip led Houston SPCA investigators to a shed behind a beautifully landscaped home in Rosenberg. Inside the shed they found 33 adult cocker spaniels crammed into just a few cages. They had no food, water or proper ventilation. All of the dogs were walking around in their own feces and urine and were housed in cramped quarters. All of the Cocker Spaniels were heavily matted, suffering from severe skin issues and parasitic infestations. The Houston SPCA assisted the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department in the rescue and removal of the animals from the property. I would love to see a law passed that said for every animal found in unlivable conditions, the owner would spend that many months in the SAME conditions (no bathroom, food, drinking water, exercise, un-air conditioned.)
They need to see what it feels like!
