It's Pup Starz Time!!
These first 6 pups (single pictures) are husky mixes. Our best guess is husky/shepherd. In any case, they are all very adorable and sweet! There are 3 girls and 3 boys left not spoken for in this litter. They will be ready for adoption on Feb. 27th. Email Kathy for more info at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net. Hello! I'm Pip, and this is my sister Squeak. That's right, my foster mom is real funny. Would you believe we are from the same litter as the other 4 above? Some people might call us the runts, since we are a lot smaller than our brothers and sisters (we prefer "size challenged.") We weigh in at right around 2 lbs. at 7 weeks of age. So we won't get too big. But we're a super-sweet brother sister duo you can't miss. Email Kathy for more info (I'm sure you've got the drill by now! Kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net). Meet "The Boys," Twitch (brown and black), Gus (tan with black stripes) and Petey (black). We're 12 week old male pups. Our momma looked a lot like Twitch, and we're not sure of much else except we are 3 sweet boys. We'd love to have a family of our own to play with. These 3 pups are already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped...they are ready to go! Email your application to kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net Larry and Moe are cute, sweet, and lovable lab mix puppies. They are about 8 weeks old and will be ready for their new home soon. They are both very loving with other dogs and humans! Larry and Moe both love to lay at their foster dad's feet when they take a rest from playing with each other. They love to play with their new puppy toys and love to run and tumble around outside which makes us think they will be great running companions. They both get so excited for treats and they will be in heaven with lots of love and attention from a new family! Larry and Moe are in the process of being crate trained and potty trained too! Email your application to Julie at juliepupsquad@aol.com. These four pups were rescued from the Beaumont area. They are all 4 males, about 12 weeks old, retriever mixes and cute as can be. Their names are Hudson, Gage, Ace and Baron (Ace is the tan one). Hudson swims!!! For more info, email Kathy at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net. Prancer is a 6-month-old American bull Terrier mix puppy that was turned in by his owners the Friday before Christmas. Sadly, he was hit by a car and they were not able to afford his vet care, so they brought him to BARC. He surely would have been euthanized, as a dog with a bad leg is not something the city animal shelter can fix. But lucky for him, the vet on duty, Dr. Costas, called and Pup Squad sprang into action. His leg was x-rayed and amputation was recommended. After being at his foster home for a night, his foster mom was hopeful the leg could be saved so they went for a second opinion. Dr. Reass suggested that we let the joint fuse and that "having 3 and a half legs is better than 3." So, Prancer was "realigned" and bandaged to allow the joint to fuse. The shoulder fused back together nicely and even though the one leg is shorter than the others he plays just the same as any other dog! Being an American Bulldog mix he plays a little rough for small children, small dogs or cats but he will fit right in with other dogs his size! His foster home has 3 dogs over 25lbs. and he loves to play with them. Prancer is by far one of the happiest dogs we have ever met! He thinks he's a lap dog at 50lbs. and will probably believe that even when he's full grown! He enjoys belly rubs and he LOVES rawhides! We are so thankful this sweet boy was not euthanized right before Christmas...what a loss it would have been! Thank you to everyone who contributed towards Prancer's care...you truly saved this sweet boy! If you are interested in adopting him, contact Julie at juliepupsquad@aol.com. Finally, meet Lollie. Lollie is a 8 month old terrier mix with a sad story to tell. She was adopted as a young pup, but sadly, her new mom had to return her after she developed cancer. So, Lollie is looking for a new family of her own. At 8 months old, she' s fully grown and only about 20 lbs. We're not sure of her mix, but she's long and lean and moves like a greyhound or whippet. She's good with kids and other dogs. Her favorite thing to do is sit right next to you and put her head in your lap. She's already been spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. If you'd like to help Lollie, email us at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net. See more pups at www.pupsquad.petfinder.org. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
