Hello BARC STARZ Readers! We are back with some wonderful dogs and have nice news to share about a few former BARC STARZ dogs and cats.
Sombra and Oscar are Two of a Kind. Sadly, Sombra and her brother, Oscar, were adopted as small pups from BARC, only to be returned by their owners. But that hasn't affected Sombra's attitude! She's a sweet, fun-loving girl who is very eager to please. Our guess is that Sombra is a small, flat-coated retriever mix. She's heartworm negative and on preventative, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and microchiped. For information please contact flettch@gmail.com. ID# A0978095. Check out Oscar, brother to Somba. Who would adopt, then return these sweet, gorgeous siblings?! Oscar has a gorgeous, curly coat and perky ears. For information please contact flettch@gmail.com. ID# A0978097 Hi, I am Matteo! I'm a 9-12 month old German Shepherd/Lab mix and have already been neutered. Everyone who has met me says I am a real sweetheart and will make a great addition to anyone's family. I'm also very handsome -- just look at my picture!!! I have a lot of love to give, but I prefer not to give that love to cats so a non-cat household would be best. I am great on a leash and housebroken. I can be playful at the right times but am generally calm and ALWAYS full of love. The vet says I am in perfect health and ready to go home today!!!! We don't know his story, but he knows some basic commands like sit and down so he must have had a family at some point. He's a silly boy who is great fun to hang out with. Just looking at his happy expression will make you smile. This sweet guy is coming up on his 90 day limit at BARC and he needs to get out. Jody is a young, active girl who has been at BARC waaaay too long. She'll be the first to tell you that! She's quite active and fun loving and would love a guardian with a similar lifestyle. Jody just needs some structure and exercise (don't we all?!) She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go! Jody is a red shepherd mix who is spayed, vaccinated and ready for a ride. Happy Tails for Luke, a Former BARC STARZ Dog. 90-day dog Luke that was fostered from the Meet & Greet in February has found his forever home! He & his new owner bonded and as of Sunday, he is part of a new family. His owner has weekends and nights off and runs every week in the park. They live in a quiet neighborhood and he has a large backyard to run around in along with several canine companions owned by his runner friends. Thanks to Elizabeth for bringing him to M&G, to Judy for fostering him, and Dr. Cooper's office for posting him which resulted in finding him a home. UPDATE: on Cat Starz ? Thank YOU Houston for hearing our plea and coming to the rescue of long-termers Abby, Emily and Byron! They are all out of BARC now! BARC still has tons of other wonderful kitties that need to get out though, so keep adopting! Thank You Houston! The adoption fee is only $55 for the dogs and includes: surgery for spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchipping and 1 year city license. What a deal for a lifelong friend!!
