HOUSTON -- Someone broke into a local horse stable and stole 16 saddles, six bridles and other equipment. But this isn't your average stable. Halter, Inc. is a non-profit organization that uses horses for therapeutic treatment for children with special needs. The break-in happened on Monday night. Sheriff's investigators believe the thieves used bolt cutters to break the lock and enter through the gate. "Chains were cut on our containers and we came out here and all of our saddles were stolen," said Maria Pinzon from Halter, Inc. "Without the saddles, we can't do our riding." It's not the first time Halter, Inc. has been targeted by crooks. One time, thieves stole a miniature horse that was pregnant. It was found a week later. People who learned about the recent theft have been donating saddles. But more saddles and other gear are needed for the annual Pony Pictures with Santa Fundraiser this Saturday. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
I am so furious I don't know what to say! The crooks that did this need to be under the jail!
