Opie, a 12-year old Cocker Spaniel is missing!
I was contacted by our friends at Cocker Spaniel Rescue of EastTexas-Houston and they asked if we could post information about Opie, a missing 12-year old Cocker Spaniel. Of course! The gate to Opie's backyard, one mile south of Almeda Mall, was left open by a service worker and he wandered off on Tuesday, October 21st. Opie is a black Cocker Spaniel with a gray muzzle, friendly, 12 years old and takes thyroid medication. He was wearing a red collar with a large heart nametag with a contact phone number on it. He is such a sweet looking dog!! You know, I have dealt with lots of lost pets, and often they are in the shelter and the shelter workers change shifts and don't have the right information, so you might call and they might say they don't have the dog when really they do. Same thing happens with cops on different shifts - there's a shift change and the new guys don't have the info. SOOOO please keep checking the shelters and police stations and vets offices and newspapers yourself, and put flyers everywhere, because people just forget.
This is a beautiful looking dog and he looks like he's had 12 years of hugs and love!!! Please update this when he is found.
