CAP Update & Needs

After Hurricane Ike passed, calls began to pour in reporting lost or found animals in the hope that Citizens for Animal Protection could provide some help.

With their dedicated staff and volunteers, they have been able to continue to operate the adoption program, and, fortunately, they are finding many wonderful homes. Since the hurricane made landfall, they have received 196 animals and have adopted out 100! CAP continues to receive calls hourly asking them to shelter more.

As more animals arrive daily, CAP's supplies are quickly diminishing. Some urgent needs include: canned and dry dog and puppy food, canned and dry kitten and cat food, non-clumping cat litter, paper towels, newspapers, laundry detergent and bleach. Cash donations are always greatly appreciated and will be put to immediate use. Contributions may be made at www.cap4pets.org. For more information, please call 281-497-0591.
