Rudyard's British Pub is hosting a birthday party for a special, regular customer - Cleo Thomas; who happens to be a cat! For admittance to her party, guests are asked to bring cat and dog food for the Rescue Bank.

Rescue Bank is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to supporting the animal welfare community with much-needed supplies and services. It is based on the "Food Bank" model - the point of collection and redistribution for surplus pet supplies and donations. Rescue Bank provides No Kill rescue groups and foster networks food, equipment, medicine and monetary funds for the care of abandoned, abused and neglected animals. Currently, Rescue Bank supports 46 rescue groups in the Houston/Harris County area including two featured in the video: Happy Cat Adoptions and Tomball S.O.S. (Save Our Strays).

Cleo enjoys socializing in her neighborhood and local pub, and she loves her job as a therapy pet. She and her team partner/mom, Deborah Thomas, visit nursing homes and/or hospice care facilities almost every weekend. Deborah and Cleo are registered through the Delta Society Pet Partners organization and volunteer through Odyssey Health Care.
