The Houston SPCA's Disaster Response Team headed to South Texas yesterday in an attempt to battle Hurricane Dolly's wrath.
The team of six is lead by Chief Investigator, Charles Jantzen . This team of first responders will be conducting small animal assessments at the request of the State of Texas . Jantzen is an experienced animal rescuer who has worked on major disasters such as Hurricane Rita and Katrina. He and his team will focus their efforts on evaluating the situation and working to save animals lives. The Houston SPCA will coordinate efforts with other small and large animal assessment teams.
