High gas prices aren't just affecting food for people; pets are feeling the squeeze too.

Many people who are having trouble paying for food themselves are also having a hard time feeding their pets and are willing to feed them first.

Hundreds of seniors in our area are in the same situation. That's why Interfaith Ministries expanded their seniors' Meals on Wheels program to include food for pets.

I am a disabled senior citizen in need of dog and cat food. How do I get on the list to get some food for them?

I would like to donate dog food and cat food. Where could I drop it off ? Thanks !!

If you want to donate money or pet food, both can be dropped off at the SPCA, which is located at 900 Portway Drive in Houston.

Thank you so much for your response!

I am interested in making donations to specifically help elderly citizens and their companion animals/pets. Their pets are all some of these dear people have to keep them company and I think it is tragic that they are forced to forego paying bills, getting medications for themselves, using electricity, even missing meals, just to feed the pets they love. I just want to be absolutely certain that is where my donation is going. What can I do?
