Here's a face you can't help but love....meet Elle, A896251. A sweet but sad young lady dropped off Elle at BARC Saturday. She had hoped to adopt her but her other dog refused to accept Elle. So, sobbing, she returned Elle to BARC hoping she'd find a better home. Elle is a very sweet brindle girl, about 4 months old. She will probably grow to be a medium to large size dog. Her foster said Elle was doing very well in training and almost housebroken. Elle is in a puppy cage all alone at BARC now missing her nice warm house and people to cuddle. If you would like to give this puppy another chance email Elizabeth at evitek@yahoo.com for more information.

Here's a better look at little Bugsy! Bugsy is barely 20 pounds and probably full-grown although she maintains her puppy playfulness. Bugsy's been at BARC since May--hard to believe because she looks like a Pug mix! If you're looking for a fun small dog with lots of energy Bugsy's your gal! Email Elizabeth at evitek@yahoo.com for more about Bugsy.

Dewey is a fun-loving puppy who adores attention! After being adopted out when he was three months old, he was returned to Friends of BARC three months later when his former owners found out they were pregnant. For all Dewey's rough past, he is amazingly outgoing and wants nothing more than for you to play fetch with him. He loves everyone and everything! His fosters have yet to introduce him to cats, but after some serious playtime at the dog park and some stolen hearts, he is completely at ease with other dogs and is not afraid to jump into your lap. Still ever the puppy, Dewey is still learning some of his basic commands. He has learned "sit" and is working on "come." He is house-broken and crate-trained although he has free roam at his foster home. Dewey is currently free-fed and is more than happy to share food and toys with his fellow pack mates. He very much enjoys toys, especially rope-toys since they are much easier to play tug o' war with! Email Bonnie at bford@globalexponent.com for more information about adopting Dewey!

Meet Hawk (A888357) & Harley (A888372)! These 2 shepherd/retriever mix pups were brought into the shelter back in May and amazingly they still have not been adopted! They are now almost 5 months old and absolutely gorgeous dogs who need loving homes of their own! Their time is up on August 11th. Can anyone save them by then?? These pups have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Contact Kathy at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.

Now this really is a "prince" of a guy! Prince is listed as an afghan hound mix but we think he's probably more of a collie mix. Either way, he's a gorgeous boy..this picture does not do him justice! He was turned in a couple weeks ago already neutered. He's about 60 lbs, 3 years old and absolutely stunning..you must come meet him in person! Contact Kathy at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net for more information!

Hi I'm Merle! Yes, that's not the most imaginative name because of my blue merle coloring, feel free to change it when you take me home! I'm very scared at the shelter. But I would not hurt a fly, I'm submissive and sweet. The volunteers think I am a Catahoula/Australian shepherd mix. I definitely have some Catahoula with the one blue and one brown eye combo. I'm a pretty big boy...70 lbs or so but I am a love bug. Come meet me today! (ID A892271 ) Contact Kathy for more info at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net .

Meet sweet Godiva, A894309. Godiva is a female chocolate lab mix puppy, only 4 months old. She is pretty scared by herself at the shelter! She is a very sweet little girl. You can adopt her by fostering her until she's ready to be spayed and formally adopted. Email Kathy for more info at kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net.

Email the contact of each photo to determine their location (some of these animals are in foster care and some are at the shelter). BARC is located at:
