What's the newest attraction at the Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows? It's the 4th annual Designer Doghouse Competition - that's what! So, if you are seeking that over-the-top conversation piece of a Puppy Palace for your special pooch, come by the Citizens for Animal Protection booth in the front of Reliant Center near the stadium and check it out. There is also a coloring contest for the kids with prizes for the winners. Come by and place your vote for your favorite house and be a part of choosing the winners of the competition for the People's Choice and Kid's Choice designer doghouses.

This is no ordinary dog show. It is one of a series of Eukanuba Championship shows filmed by Animal Planet for airing in the fall. In between the serious business to see who wins the coveted Best in Show title, Animal Planet films interesting "behind the scenes" segments. One, of course, is the spectacular Designer Doghouse Competition's unique display and auction. Benefiting Citizens for Animal Protection - a Houston based animal shelter - this should be a must on your list of things to see at the dog show. One-of-a-kind doghouses of the designer kind are custom built by individuals and companies and donated for auction at the four-day event.
