Here is the BARC Starz Team's "2 hankie alert" story of the week...

Hope's Legs for blog.jpg

Meet Hope! Hope was turned in to BARC by some nice folks who found her tied to a mailbox. She is a gorgeous silver/tan pit-mix puppy who sadly has deformed back legs. We don't know if she was born this way or if she was injured and one leg was amputated? She can scoot along just fine for now but she will need to be fitted with a wheelchair to get around as she gets older. She is so sweet and really a stunning pup...is there anyone out there who can help her or send a rescue group in our direction to take her? She only has a limited amount of time at BARC.

Please email kdeffebach@sbcglobal.net if you can help save HOPE!

Oh how I wish I could help her more than just sending up prayers for her! What a gorgeous baby! How could anyone just tie an animal up and abandon it?! I will never understand! I hope and pray that a rescue will be able to take her or some loving soul will adopt her! She deserves a chance to have a wonderful life! Handicapped animals are just as much a blessing as "whole" animals! I have a deaf and vision impaired Aussie-mix that I found abandoned in the cemetery. I can't even begin to put into words the blessing that she's been to me. Yes, a handicapped animal does require a bit more attention or help than healthy animals, but they are so worth it! You will be so blessed!
