BARC's Starz are looking for their forever homes this weekend! For some, this weekend, is their last chance.
A883881 Audrey is the cutest lab mix pup you'll ever meet! She has perfect white "socks" and little white tip on her tail. Everyone who meets her loves her calm nature and sweet spirit. She especially loves belly rubs and cuddling. She's only 4 months old...too young to have spent a fourth of her life at a shelter! You'll love this sweet girl! A881508 Bailey is a 7 month old pointer.collie mix. He's an absolute charmer and everyone who meets him falls in love! He's also very smart and learned "sit" in one session. Bailey loves other dogs and people and we learned last weekend that he LOVES the water! He'd be a great family dog as he loves kids and has energy to spare. Bailey has been at BARC 2 long months waiting for his forever family. Meet Candy!! Have you ever heard of a big love-bug? That's Candy in a nutshell. She is very sweet, loves people, seems to be good with other dogs, and very calm. We are happy to give her a chance at adoption at BARC, where too many pitt bulls end up with no hope of finding a home. She's been spayed and is ready for adoption. Contact Fran if you are interested at foyle67@hotmail.com. CESAR THE GENTLEMAN NEEDS A HOME. He is a Golden Retriever/Terrier mix about one year old and 55 pounds. He is a very laid back but likes to play too, extremely sweet, loving dog who loves people, and is very smart dog. He just wants to be around his human. He is great on a leash and is learning basic commands. He is crate trained but doesn't need to be in a crate. He is great in the house unattended. He is also housebroken. He is current on all his vaccinations, neutered and HW negative. If you can find it in your heart to adopt Cesar he would love to be your buddy. I think he would be great with kids based on his sweet, laid back personality. He likes his toys and plays well with my dogs. Don't know about cats. If interested, pease contact Carla at 713-444-3012. A878759 Dexter is a 1 year old German Shepherd mix who has sadly come to the end of his stay at BARC. You see, dogs can only stay in the adoption program for 90 days and Dexter has reached that. This is his last chance! He needs a foster or adopter right away! Dexter is a sweet boy who desperately wants some love and attention. He needs a little training but he's very smart and wants to please. He likes other dogs, especially if they like to play! He is crate trained, heartworm negative and loves to give kisses. Can he find a new home this week before its too late!! Lady is 1 year old, 32 pounds, spayed, HW neg, and current on all her vaccinations. She is also micro chipped. Her foster mom says "She is the best dog ever, house and crate trained, sweet, and a little snuggler. She is good with other dogs and children over the age of 8 years old. She likes to chase cats. I can't say enough good things about this little girl she is calm but loves to run around the back yard too." For more information, contact Carla at 713-444-3012. ID A883523 Sasha is a 6 month old lab mix.. She's just a baby and would love to learn from you! Sasha loves people and would love a playmate to keep her busy. Come meet her and fall in LOVE! Who can resist this face!!! Meet Tom, a 3 and a half month old lab mix. His foster mom says that he is crate trained but not quite house broken (but we are working on that!). Everyone who meets him is amazed at what a laid-back pup he is. To find our more about this cutie, contact Fran at foyle67@hotmail.com. Unless noted as in foster care, you can find all of the above animals at BARC: BARC (Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care) Friends of BARC

ok Houston - another round of "Last Chance Dogs" need out help at BARC!! You have already saved so many in the past!! But its a sad fact that there is a never ending need for foster homes and forever homes! Lets do it one more time and save these sweet souls!!
Dexter needs help, Bailey is getting close to running out of time, and Candy is not an easy "sale", since she's a Pit! (I've known lots of Pits and have rescued a few myself. They are only bad dogs if they were trained that way! Don't let the stigma stop you from loving an incredible dog!) I hope that someone will help them by fostering them if not adopting them! I hope and pray that all of the babies can find their forever loving homes soon! I hope & pray that one day this won't be a need! But until people become responsible pet owners by spaying/neutering their pets, it will be a continuing cycle. I wish I could foster another dog, but because we rescued 2 cats who were pregnant, we are a bit overwhelmed! And it's all because people didn't spay their cats and then abandoned them! So sad!
