Sonya, the nine-year old Rat Terrier Mix, escaped from her kennel at Animal Port Houston near Bush Intercontinental Airport on April 14th.
Sonya and her family were planning on flying that day to their new home in Thailand. Upon learning of Sonya's escape, they cancelled their flight plans and began a desperate search. Sonya's family is leaving this Saturday but her Mom, Apollo Lavergne, says she will never give up hope. "If someone finds Sonya, please email or call us," she says. "Our family will fly back to pick her up!" Sonya is a nine-year old, female, black and white Rat Terrier mix. She weighs 33 lbs., is microchipped and was wearing a green collar with ID and Rabies tags. If you find Sonya, please contact the Lavergne family at 337-783-0167 or by email at larrylavergne@juno.com. Even though the family is moving to Thailand, they are keeping the email address and phone number active in case someone finds their beloved pet. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |
My hope & prayers that Sonya is found safe and sound before the family has to leave! My heart goes out to you! Please keep us updated. I'll pray for her safe return!
This info was sent to Pals for Pooches - the dog rescue org I foster for - and I have been in contact with the owners. They were back in town this past Mon and Tues looking for her but I guess they didnt find. There have been sitings east of the airport - the last one on 4/19 according to her owner - down around old 1960 (or old Humble Rd or - not sure of the name) behind the old Kmart which is across from the Bank of America not far from US 59. But please be on the lookout for her anywhere!! And if you find her - but have no where to keep her safe for awhile - please contact me (Donna) by sending an email to Pals for Pooches and we will make sure she has somewhere to say until she can get back home!! Thanks so much for any and all help you can give!!
