Have you seen Lucca "Long-Legs" Barelli?
Lucca, an Italian Greyhound and well-known furry face in the Upper Kirby neighborhood, was picked up by a silver 2008 Chevy HHR with temporary tags around 11:30 a.m. Friday in front of Carraba's Italian Restaurant on Kirby and Branard.

But residents of the Upper Kirby area are fighting to find him. Lucca comes from a Coast Guard family. His owner LCDR Tim Barelli, is a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter pilot who risks his life searching for people lost at sea.
Now he's seeking your help in his search for his four-legged family member.
Friends and neighbors of the family say Lucca is an inspiration. Three neighborhood families decided to adopt dogs from local Houston kennels after getting to know Lucca.
Every morning, Lucca runs to get his owner's sneakers in preparation for a walk. His family says it was Lucca's influence that led them to train and run for the 2007 Houston Marathon.
If you have any information about Lucca's whereabouts, please call Allison at 713-807-7479.

Praying for a happy ending to this sad story! I know Lucca misses her family as much as they miss her!! Put up lots of signs and post on Petfinder.com and Lostadog.com in their lost and found areas!! Keep the faith!!

Hope & prayers that Lucca gets home safe and soon! (And thank you LCDR Tim Barelli for your service! God bless and protect you!)
