Time is running out for Mohawk and Lazy Jane at Missouri City Animal Control.
Mohawk is a young, male Terrier Mix dog. He's very loving and a little shy. Lazy Jane is a one-year old Dachshund Shih Tzu Mix. She's very sweet and loving. Both dogs are in The Missouri City Animal Control Division and time is running out. The Missouri City Ordinance states that pets who are turned in by their owner will be euthanized. Animals found without a collar will be held for three (3) days. Animals found with a collar will be held for six (6) days. 1923 Scanlin Road If you can give Mohawk or Lazy Jane a chance at the life they deserve...a home where they will be loved and cherished forever, please call 281.403.8707 or email jkelley@missouricitytx.gov. These poor little things deserve much better.
My only concern is with a $15 adoption fee Class B dog dealers (Bunchers) will "adopt" them and then sell them to research labs...or dog fighters will "adopt" them and use them as bait dogs.
The adoption fee needs to be upwards of $55-$60 to make it less advantages for the Bunchers and dog fighters to adopt them.
