She loves water, toys and other dogs. Bailey will sit and shake for a goodie!

Meet Bailey!

She's been at BARC since July 8, and she needs a home! You can visit her at 3200 Carr St. Call (713) 229-7300 for more information.

Schipperkes are awesome dogs! They originated in the Flemish provinces of Belgium. Schip means boat, schipper means captain of the boat and schipperke means "little captain of the boat". The dogs were used on the canal barges to guard the boat and catch the vermin. Schipperkes are active and athletic and excel in agility and flyball!

I knew a lady who had a Schipperke and he was a wonderful dog. He was loving, playful, protective over her, and wonderful with her grandchildren (or any child)!
