Blossum is living at BARC after her owner decided they had too many cats.

The 2-year-old has been there since July 1 -- entirely too long! She's staying in the cat habitat, running around and being a sweet cat.

Meet Blossum

If you're interested in Blossum or another animal who needs a home, visit BARC at 3200 Carr St. or call (713) 229-7300.

S,
I am here. I was just sending good thoughts to cute little Blossum without blogging it
this time. I didnt want to cause any bad thoughts or words to be posted due to a blog from me wishing her good luck in finding a forever home. D

Donna, I was thinking the same thing! That's where I've been too!!! It's a shame people have to be ugly!
Good luck Blossom!

Hello Donna!

With the absence of Donna, I figured the SPCA decided to call off its cheering section, rather than foster a vehicle (this blog)that could shed light on the agency's ongoing lies.

Guess not. The SPCA is back. Arrogance in its finest.

What lies, you ask? For example, the HSPCA announced during its TV show last week that it "Does not euthanize animals." Statements like that are worth a lot of money... The public believes it and send in big $.

Someone needs to expalin to the public how the freezer in the back of the SPCA shelter became full of dead animals, if the shelter does not euthanize.

Step to the plate, SPCA.

The public

OMG, The morons have re-appeared.

Give us a break spca. Don't kill animals? How much is that lie worth?

"The morons are back"? Ok 2 things: 1st of all I do not work for ANY rescue group, shelter, or organization! So when I post, it is of my own, not for anyone else! Second of all I don't see anything that anyone (blog writer or posters) wrote about euthanizing animals in the responses to this blog. So where did that come from? I enjoy reading and used to enjoy blogging to Animal Attractions. I don't appreciate being called a moron because of that. I rescue animals on my own, financing the food, vetting (shots, spay/neuter, etc.), etc...on my own. I am not backed by anyone! No I don't like to see animals killed, tortured or otherwise. Animals are in shelters because of irresponsible owners who don't spay/neuter, care for their pets, train them properly, and so on and so forth. Those are the morons! Do not judge me because I choose to wish an animal well in finding a home. It is certainly not their fault that they are homeless! If I am anybody's cheerleader, I am the animals cheerleader, not a specific group's cheerleader!

Melody, Dont waste your time or breath trying to defend yourself to these people - they arent worth it! Nothing will convince them that you are the animal lover that you are!! And that you arent what they accuse you of being!! Then, dont be surprised if you get attacked by someone else because you feel the need to defend yourself! I know you know this is true because I am sure you read where it happened to me! This is exactly why both of us had not blogged about Blossum! But I have decided to blog when and where I want, say what I feel, and then ignore this type of response from people who think they know everything and who repeatedly show us what sad lives they live by always attacking others!

Donna, you are so right!

As far as I know, the Houston SPCA has never claimed to be a "no-kill" shelter, and, to my knowledge, no one made such an assertion.

You made the same slanderous assertion about the previous telethon. Such an assertion should be considered pure slander unless proof in the form of the appropriate segment can be placed upon a publicly accessible site such as YouTube.

Ron said:

I saw it, but did not record it. However, I encourage all that may wish to confirm, to request a copy from any video or TV transcript service... or the WB, the whore TV that hosted the lie.

It is true. The spca told the public it does not euthanize.

For those of you looking for where the spca claimed that they don't euthanize animals, it's right after when they admit to helping Saddam hide his weapons of mass destruction, helping entrap Senator Craig, and being responsible for all of the left socks disappearing in the wash.

I think that they're responsible for all of the missing right socks too, and they should admit to that as well.

OK, that is really funny. I thought everyone at the spca was, well, dull. Apparently someone there has a sense of humor, while trying to distract from the subject (to protect his or her income - no doubt.).

I repeat, the lie is avialable on tape. Ruhla from Ruhla and Ryan said it last week. Find a tape. Not my job to provide it for you.
