Liberetta is a vivacious and sweet red bone hound pup.
On July 22, 2007, she was abandonded at BARC because they were moving. She loves to play and will sit for milkbones! To adopt this sweetie, visit BARC from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 3200 Carr. You can also call (713) 238-9600.

How sad! But I guess they didnt love her as she should be loved - their loss for sure! Here's wishing you the best forever home this time!
I adopted her today! She is the perfect dog. She loves her new soft bed and new friends. BARC is an amazing organization which successfully helped Libby find her new forever loving home. While we were there we noticed a dozen other dogs just as sweet as Libby. Please take the time to go visit the hopeful animals at BARC before getting your next pet.
Ron, thank you for giving Liberetta a chance at life and the loving home she deserves!!!!
Ron, Congratulations on your new family member!! What a wonderful day for you and Libby!! Here's wishing both of you many many years of love!!
Just to clarify a bit, the Ron who adopted Libby is a different Ron than the one had previously replied to postings about the HSPCA. Congratulations to the Ron who adopted Libby.
the other Ron. :-)
This is really funny. The SPCA needs to get its paid bloggers in order.
The OTHER, other Ron
The Other Other Ron - This was a blog about a dog in need and the Happy Tail about her new home! Cant you just be happy for her and her new family??!! And leave the "beat to death completed fabricated SPCA paid blogger issue" alone??!!
To the Ron that adopted Libby, I am a volunteer / foster mom for a dog rescue org based in Humble. At some point in the past, I corresponded with BARC concerning their "last chance animals" that were in desparate need of being adopted or going to foster homes. Since that time, I get an email from BARC every 1-2 weeks showcasing animals in need that are up for adoption along with photos of some of the Happy Adoptions. Just received the new email today from BARC - and Libby's Happy Adoption picture with you was included!! Everyone looks so happy in the picture!! Thanks again for giving Libby a wonderful home!
Hi Donna,
Why not post that photo for all to enjoy?
To quote: "And Libby's Happy Adoption picture with you was included!!" (Oh how I morn for English language...}
If this makes you or the SPCA feel vindicated, then share it with all.
To the wonderful Ron who adopted Libby, thanks for adopting her and passing on the wonderful news.
To the pathetic, vindictive Ron, get a life or at least stop concocting goofy conspiracy theories. Go do something somewhat more constructive like finding out the truth about Area 51...or MOURN for the English language you so artfully mutilate. If you're going to pick on someone else's grammar, at least get yours correct first. What was that old adage about people in glass asylums? Maybe you should join the "paid SPCA bloggers" and use that money for some English lessons you missed out in the 3rd grade.
Ron (the good one), Thank you so much for adopting Libretta! I am a volunteer at BARC and have been in love with her since she first set a paw in the place. It makes me cry tears of joy to know she's in a happy place instead of her cell at the pound. You are right, we have dozens (hundreds!) of wonderful dogs and cats available for adoption at BARC and I hope people will come down and save one or two. We also have a tremendous need for volunteers, so if you love animals and would like to help go to friendsofbarc.org and check us out. Happy endings like Libby's are what it's all about.
Ron (the one who didnt adopt Libby), I would never take it upon myself to post a picture of anyone, anywhere on the internet without their permission. Although Ron (the good one) might have given permission to post his picture on BARC's website or even given his permission to send his picture out to BARC supporters , that doesnt mean he wants it put on KHOU.com. As far as the attack on my grammar, I am getting used to you attacking me no matter what I say! However, I am curious how you would have worded that sentence!
To whomever adopted Libby, or any homeless animal, thank you.
To the clowns who populate this blog, with your childish statements, bad attitude, silly blog names and bad grammar, you should know, the public is smarter than you think.
I for one would like to see a picture of Ron and Libby. If it has been shared on the internet, I think that is a fair request.
Thank you,
Sarah
Dear Donna,
I went to the Houston animal control website and can't find a picture of anyone with libby. Where is libby? Where is this picture you are talking about? Please produce it so we beleive she was adopted by anyone, Ron or whatever.
I want to know for sure that this dog found a home. I can't find a picture any where on the net. Not at the city or any where.
I want to know that the girl was saved. Where can I find out.
Maxwell
As I said earlier, the picture was included in a weekly (or every other week) email that I get from BARC showcasing what they call the BARC STARZ - animals up for adoption or in some cases, animals that are in desparate need of adoption or fostering in order to save them at that point (BARC has posted these "last chance animals on Animal Attraction in the past). Sometimes they include Happy Adoption photos in the email also. Except for this blog, I would not have known who Libby was and therefore the Happy Adoption picture would have been just that - a Happy Adoption picture. But I didnt get the email from BARC until after Ron (the one who adopted Libby) had entered his blog - so it had an extra special impact on me. However, I still dont feel comfortable posting someones picture on here without permission from them or BARC. What I will do, is email the person at BARC that sends me the BARC STARZ emails and let her know of the interest in Libby's adoption and see if BARC is willing to update her story on Animal Attraction - possibly to include a picture.
Sounds good. We can't wait to see a shot of Ron and Libby together. Please share.
