Dallas police said a robbery was disrupted by a Northeast Dallas family's Chihuahua early Tuesday, according to WBAP-AM. A man armed with a shotgun and a large buck knife forced the victim, who was outside smoking, back into his apartment in the 9800 block of Walnut Street, near Audelia Road. The pet began barking and tried to keep the suspect at bay, police told the radio station. The dog awakened the family and the robber apparently decided to flee. Police said the suspect took some money and two game consoles, then stabbed the Chihuahua with the large knife. Police took the dog to a veterinarian, but the dog had to be euthanized after suffering serious injuries. Poor little fella!! But what a hero for standing up to the robber!! He will always be remembered for his bravery!! I know his family will miss him!!
Great things do come in small packages! I know the family will always remember their tiny hero and forever be greatful. My heart goes out to the family.
What a hero! I wish more people had as much courage as this little dog did.
What a sad outcome, but it was a special day at the rainbow bridge when this little hero strutted up!! Way to go little one!! Who said small dogs couldn't be guard dogs! Run and play at the RB until you are reunited with your family who I know is greatful for your bravery.
