Outraged animal lovers protested outside of Houston's Chinese Consulate Tuesday. It was just one demonstration by animal rights activists who have organized protests across the world today against China's fur industry. We told you last week how some Chinese fur farms slaughter domesticated dogs and cats and use their fur to line clothing. My greatest concern in the whole situation is this. I would not wear fur in the first place, but the way it is taken off of the poor creature is the worst possible way for any of Gods creatures to depart this life. I will never be able to get the video out of my memory that I forced myself to watch about 8 yrs. ago on 20/20 I think it was. The skinner cut an artery on the inside of the back leg of the dog, then started skinning the poor creature imediately !!! The dog continued to wag it's tail at times in hopes the person would have mercy and stop... Dear God, where is the mercy for all things great and small on this planet anymore ?
