Houston SPCA caseworkers seized about 160 bunnies from a terminally ill woman in The SPCA is now trying to find permanent or foster homes for the bunnies. Here's a link to KHOU.com's original story. An SPCA spokesperson denies reports that the bunnies will be euthanized soon. They are planning an adoption fair called "Come See Our Buns." For more information, call Ana Perez, Foster Program Coordinator at the SPCA 713- 869-7722, ext. 121 or Nancy Martin, Foster Coordinator for Bunny Buddies, 832-477-0016. 4 CommentsLeave a comment |
Why do we use the word euthanized, reminds me of an undertaker with hands folded making out like he really cares, why not say kill, words like euthanized somehow don't seam so bad, but the fact remains killing is killing is killing regardless of the word, if we used the word killing, maybe, just maybe, we as a so called humane society may not put our animal friends to death so fast.
My name is Nancy Martin. I am the Foster Coordinator for Houston Bunny Buddies. We are a rabbit rescue and education group and have been working with the SPCA to help find homes for these rabbits. The contact person and number listed are wrong. We don't wish for our members private numbers to be given publicly. The correct contact information is Nancy Martin, 936-273-0473. If you have any questions please call me. Thank you.
