Friends of BARC would like blankets, sweaters and the like for the kittens and cats at BARC. It gets cold at night and the animals appreciate a warm place to cuddle! Items can be dropped off at BARC 7 days a week - check our website for a hours and a map to BARC! Put attention Linda Eggert on your donation, so they will be assured to go to the kittens and cats that need them the most! Thanks!

Dear Ms.Foronda:

Thinking about the post on "Louie" the Cinco Ranch kitty that took a Car ride that ended well. (10/21/2006)...PLEASE remind folks to make a tap on the hoods of their cars before starting the engine. This will wake and startle most Cats. And remember Tree Tinsel and other favorite X-Mas items (Mistletoe berries) can be deadly to your Pets.

Have a nice X-Mas!

The Woodlands Dog Park Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit group, is presenting "Almost Home for the Holidays: Bed & Biscuit Drive" until December 20th this year. Our goal is to put a Kuranda dog bed in every kennel at the Montgomery County Animal shelter. A $55 donation will provide one bed and some treats, but the club will MATCH each donation with a second bed. Currently we are already almost 2/3 of the way there. We have filled about three of the four rooms in need of beds but still need almost 40 more beds (20 donations). Please help us make the days and nights a little softer for the animals at MCAS. Website is listed. May also contact Maggie Warner at 281.292.9602 for information.
Thank you!

Recent National Beauty Pageant Winners Cynthia and Nikki are very involved in community service.
On Friday December 15, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at the All Star Sports Bar and Grill (1055 Bay Area Blvd Houston, TX 77058), they will be hosting a Fundraising Event to support the local animal shelters. We will be raffling off many great items that everyone will enjoy!
We will also have volunteers from several of the local shelter with some of their animals available for adoption as well! We need more volunteers with animals out there to help find these wonderful pets homes.

We would love to have you out there to help promote the event! The girls would like to make sure that each of these animals go to warm loving homes or at least have the necessary supplies at their shelter.

If you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible at Homepassionparty@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your time and I hope to see you there!

Texas Siamese Rescue - Houston Branch, a 501(c)(3) non profit rescue organization has an urgent need for foster families. We have taken in quite a few more kitties this year than in years past. There does not seem to be a designated "kitten season" anymore and we are still rescuing pregnant cats and litters of kittens. Also, this Saturday is our drawing for the beautiful Art Quilt (shown further down on Lisa's blog site)at PetsMart on 290 at the Tidwell/Hollister exit and tickets are still available. Drawing is at 4 pm (need not be present to win). You can contact me (Edna Taylor) at (713) 628-4052 if you want to foster, adopt, donate or purchase raffle tickets. Thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS

Cocker Spaniel Rescue is in desperate need of foster homes and/or forever homes for our over 100 cocker kids currently in rescue. We have some of our cocker kids in boarding and they so much deserve to be in a home, especially at Christmas time. Please see our website at www.cockerkids.org for some of our available dogs, foster and adoption forms and other information. Or please feel free to email me at Aclark@heardmedackpc.com. Thank you!
