Welcome Brad!! :-)
Thanks Brad for your plans to continue Animal Attraction. Would be more good news if the Pet Event calendar is also continued. Congratulations on the awards that you won for reporting on issues involving animals.
Hi, Brad!
I am delighted to hear that you will not only keep "Animal Attraction" alive, but that you have great plans to expand its coverage! Awesome!
I sincerely hope that part of your plans will include giving BARC as much media coverage as possible.
As I'm sure you know, BARC is miserably funded by the City of Houston and simply does not have the budget to advertise its adoption program. As a consequence, dogs and cats sit in cages and kennels for months (if they're lucky!)
If only Houstonians knew that there are wonderful dogs and cats fully vetted, available for adoption for ONLY $55! (Most don't even know what BARC is, much less where it is, including Houstonians who have lost their beloved pet and don't know to look for them at BARC, where they have only a 3-day hold!)
And, of course, fostering is another great need for the animals at BARC! It keeps them healthy, socialized and alive! BARC animals desperately need more foster homes!
I also hope you will preach Spay/Neuter! It's this city's only hope!
Looking forward to seeing how you develop AA throughout 2007!
Sincerely,
Lydia Caldwell
