More than 180 animals are looking for a new home. A truck load of animals -- filled with dogs, horses, goats, turkeys and even peacocks pulled up to the Houston SPCA tonight. 6 CommentsLeave a comment |
I would be interested in adopting a goat or a peacock. We have a couple of wild peacocks (not mine--that hang around my property)
My pets are a Serval and an Asian Leopard cat)

I would love to adopt a puppy from the noah's ark of animals. I have been looking for a puppy for sometime now on the houston aspca web sit and have had verry little luck. I would like more information on the puppys form noah's ark, or the houston aspca.
If you want to find a puppy at the HSPCA, you should go down there. Puppies go pretty quickly. Seems like most people - especially on the weekends - are there for puppies.
People are often upset when there aren't more puppies available, but the HSPCA doesn't buy or breed animals, they try to find homes for animals who have been given to them. It's a first come, first serve policy, so you're better off going in, getting approved for adoption and then checking back regularly if you don't see what you want at the time of your visit.
I would imagine, as long as they are in good health, the Noah's Ark animals would be up for adoption relatively soon.
Thankyou Carrie for the info. I did not know I could go to the hspca and get peapproved and look. I geatly appreciate your time and info on tha puppie adoption.
I guess I don't get it.
The HSPCA has sent MANY animals to the same agency in San Antonio it recently raided, despite repeated warnings of the SA organization's shortcomings and poor animal handling.
Now the HSPCA is removing animals from the San Antonio animal agency to which it has sent animals. What is up? Is someone asleep at the wheel... or worse? Does the HSPCA charge in where ever there might be media coverage and then shuffle animals out the back door to whomever will take them - no matter what the conditions to which they are transfered. And all this after "saving" them in the first place?
The answer is obvious.
