Here's an update to yesterday's post about a man who admitted to torturing a cat then eating its ear. Even the prosecutor said the defendant was "genuinely scary." Well, he can be as scary as he wants in prison, where he'll be spending the next eight years. The Dallas Morning News has all the details on its website here, and our good friends at ReadLarryPowell.com: REGARDING CRIMES: Our reliable tipster who was a witness to much of the trial of Ryan Coleman, 21, the guy who tortured and killed Tiger the Cat, plans to send thank-you notes to the folks who prosecuted this human oddity and persuaded the jury to give him 8 years in prison.
And she thought other people might want to join in thanking the prosecutors. So, here are the names and the address: Dallas County Assistant District Attorneys Jennifer Bennett and Josh Healey, District Attorney's Office, Frank Crowley Courts Bldg., 133 N. Industrial, L.B. 19, Dallas, Texas, 75207. Tiger was given a voice by the wonderful people at the Dallas County DA's office and they DO deserve our thanks for getting justice for Tiger. I have already sent my thank you notes. Sleep softly sweet Tiger, we will see you at the Rainbow Bridge one day.
I just hope and pray that he actually serves the full eight years. Trusting that he daily comes in contact with someone in prison who loves his animals and gives him a taste of his own medicine. Animals feel pain exactly the same way as human beings do, they just do not know WHY someone is hurting them this badly! Rot in jail!

I think he got off tooo easy!! My suggestion would have been to do the very same thing to him as what he did to Tiger (see my original post/suggestion as a comment on the original story). But I do appreciate the punishment given by the DA's office!! I too will send a thank you card!!
I am thrilled and amazed that Mr. Coldman got 8 years. It's about time that the judicial system sees a correlation between animal abuse and felonious activities against humans. Heaven help the person that gets involved with Mr. Coleman when he is finally released from prison. Maybe he should have his own police tracker because it's just a matter of time before he's back in the system. If you're father knew you were a sociopath, why would he beg for mercy? Tiger got NO mercy.
