Rescue Bank, a 501 (c) (3), has started operations in Houston to support the animal rescue and foster community by collecting and distributing much-needed supplies. Patterned after the food bank model, Rescue Bank is a non-profit, volunteer organization that will solicit and warehouse donations, and then distribute collected supplies to the no-kill community. Items distributed to date include food, crates, kennel panels, leashes and collars, small animal cages, over-the-counter medicines, bowls, shampoo and toys. Rescue groups and fosters interested to register their needs can download the registration form from our website, www.rescuebank.org. Click on Request Supplies and Application. Completed forms can be emailed or faxed to the address or number shown below. All animal rescue groups are encouraged to register, including dog, cat, avian and small mammal or reptile. |
