You likely know Les Alexander owns the Houston Rockets, but did you also know he's a big supporter of animal rights? He's teaming up - yet again - with the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) to promote responsible pet ownership. Here's what I received from SNAP:

"Leslie Alexander and the Houston Rockets are teaming up with to challenge Harris County area residents to support the SNAP Houston mobile clinic's free spay and neuter services. For every dollar you donate, the Rockets will match your contribution by donating an additional dollar up to a total of $25,000. This important campaign will enable SNAP to fulfill its mission of increasing the availability and use of animal sterilization services.

Many people in Harris County are financially unable to have their companion animals spayed or neutered and turn to the SNAP mobile clinic outreach program for this basic veterinary care. The mobile clinic travels to various Harris County locations to provide free high-quality sterilization surgeries and rabies shots to dogs and cats of qualified low-income individuals.

The SNAP Mobile Clinic will be at the Toyota Center on Monday, August 28th from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. for tours and a photo shoot with the Rockets staff.
