I know it sounds like a good idea to have a reservation made ahead of time, but if I remember correctly last year during Rita a lot of people arrived at their destinations in San Antonio and Dallas and were told that their reserved kennel spots had been give to other people's dogs/cats (this also happened to people). Seems like it just ended up on a first come first serve basis in a lot of cases. Looks like the only way you can be absolutely sure you'll have a spot for your animals is if you make arrangements to stay with an out-of-town friend or relative.
